EHS/KNX Drivers

Each EHS/KNX Driver is a software package that accompanies an EHS/KNX Network IC or Communication Board. The drivers provide the interface between the application software and the processor which provides the EHS communication capabilities.

Each driver in the SD family consists of software that is linked to the application code.  It provides the API (Application Programming Interface) for the serial link that connects the application to the EHS/KNX Processor.  These drivers serve applications that run on a PC, and each one can be ported to a microprocessor.  The drivers are written in JavaTM or C. An SD family driver in either language is available for each version of the EHS/KNX Network IC and Communication Board.

The EHS OSGi Bundle is a Java based package that provides high level EHS functions to applications running in an OSGiTM framework. The role of the driver is to connect OSGi applications to EHS appliances on a power-line network.
